Job Title

Assembly Mechanic

Location : Onsite in Connecticut

Compensation & Schedule

• $48/hr

• Minimum 60hrs/week

• Start date: ASAP

• 60 Hour Weekly Guarantee (first and last week at hours worked)
• Duration: TBD but please prep for 3-month duration
• $50 daily per diem
• Lodging & Flight Paid the entire duration of the project
• Single Occupancy Lodging

ROLE IMPACT

Join a high-precision assembly team where your work directly supports complex machinery performance. Success is defined by your ability to interpret detailed instructions, apply torque specifications, and maintain the highest quality standards in a non-repetitive, high-impact production environment.

KEY DUTIES

• Assemble mechanical systems using sequential instructions, BOMs, and tool lists with both paper and electronic resources

• Perform sub-assembly and full-unit builds, with each build requiring 500–1000 hours

• Inspect both personal and peer work against inspection sheets; no final testing required

• Use manual and power tools, applying torque specs provided for each fastener

• Operate pallet jacks and hoists in a mixed seated/standing workspace

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Military experience with mechanical/powerplant equipment OR valid A&P license

• 2+ years in mechanical assembly or diesel/powertrain systems

• Proficient in torque application by spec and fastener type

• Experience in diesel, mechanical systems, or equipment rebuilds

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Tools: manual/powered hand tools, torque wrenches

• Equipment handling: pallet jacks and hoists (no forklifts or cranes)

• Work posture varies with assembly stage (seated or standing)

• High-precision, dynamic mechanical build environment

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Diesel mechanic experience

• Experience in full-cycle equipment assembly or rebuild

• Pre-employment background and drug screening required
