Affectionately Cats Feline Veterinary Hospital, located in Williston, VT, is proud to be the state’s only feline exclusive hospital! We are privately owned, giving us the opportunity to create a hospital culture that all of us want to be a part of. We are seeking a full-time veterinary receptionist who can step into the essential role as the first point of contact for the hospital.

Since opening in 1993, Affectionately Cats has focused on exceptional patient care and client service by investing in our team’s wellbeing and continued growth. Most staff participate in ongoing CE and training. We’re seeking someone with a growth mindset who embraces new technology and medical advancements, and who is eager to share their knowledge, experience, and compassion with our patients, clients, and team. As a receptionist with Affectionately Cats your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

• 2+ years of experience as a veterinary receptionist
• 4+ years of customer service experience
• Applying Fear Free handling skills and/or interest in certification
• Strong patient triage skills both virtually and in-person
• Ability to manage financial transactions accurately
• Coordinating patient check-in, admission, and discharge
• Maintaining digital medical records within practice software
• Identifying prescription medications for the purpose of refills
• Familiarity with DEA and OSHA compliance and protocols
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted and stand/sit for extended periods

We realize time spent outside of work with family or friends is important, and we strive to provide you with a quality work/life balance. Affectionately Cats is open Monday-Friday 7:45am – 5pm, and we rotate Saturdays 10am – 12pm. We are closed evenings and Sundays to prevent long night / weekend shifts and burn out. The opportunity to assist with boarding and sick patients on Sundays is available for those interested, but not required. In addition to a flexible schedule, we also offer:
