Viera Builders, Inc. has an opening for a full time hourly paid Architectural Drafter, who will be primarily responsible for using Autodesk products (Revit and AutoCAD) to design and adjust residential drawing and specifications to meet construction requirements and provide accurate plans for permitting and Purchasing. In addition, the Architectural Drafter’s duties include the following:

Responsibilities:

• Create lot specific construction drawings in agreement with customer contracts to initiate the permitting process.

• Assist in new product development.
• Provide new master plans to the Sr. Superintendent incorporating changes from frame walks and new product.  
• Direct all aspects of plan review as part of new construction starts.
• Assist Sales department with homeowner custom redraws and site-specific home fits.
• Conduct on site visits as necessary to facilitate necessary revisions to site-specific plans and master plans.
• Adapt framing plans to facilitate Marketing department’s creation of sales collateral.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Construction, Drafting, or min 3 years of residential drafting experience preferred.  Minimum of one year Residential Drafting experience required , preferably in construction environment. Other experience in Revit and CADD some basic structural analysis preferred. Knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite programs. Comfortable working within the parameters of hard deadlines while still producing error free work.
