The purpose of this position is to assist the Director for Workforce Development in the creation, delivery, and support of competency-based career pathways between K-12 to credit and continuing education programs in the areas of cybersecurity, information technology, data science, and advanced manufacturing. This includes day-to-day management of continuing education programs in these disciplines. Duties include: - Performing a variety of management and program coordination duties, including advising students, managing documentation, and providing quality control; creating new processes and facilitate implementation.
- Maintaining various databases
- Creating schedules of credit and continuing education courses
- Assisting in staffing classes and monitoring course start dates
- Assembling course packets
- Preparing reports, schedules, brochures and flyers
- Receiving phone calls and program inquiries
- Assisting with marketing programs
- Composing correspondence
- Ordering supplies, processing purchase requisitions and direct payment vouchers and other budgetary documents
- Supporting the Director in grant submissions and compliance; maintaining budget records; reviewing and correcting online registrations
- Performing file and record management by supporting collaboration with Harford County Public Schools [HCPS] students through Harford, Youth Workforce Investment and facilitating prior learning assessment.
- Other duties include assisting students with course selections, course materials, etc.; assisting instructors with course management; overall trouble-shooting and problem-solving, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement. Required Education Minimum of a Bachelor's degree Required Experience Minimum of a 1 year Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Knowledge and experience in various technology-based career pathways;

Preferred Qualifications Experience in adult education programs and technology careers is preferred Hours per Week 40 - 100% General Weekly Work Schedule General work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; additional hours may be required at the request of the supervisor and based on the needs of the College.
