**About This Role**
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will be crucial to ALC's business through assisting the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and is customer focused. You will work on solving increasingly complex problems.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Assist to Initiate, install, troubleshoot optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
+ Assist to provide turnkey project delivery on small to medium projects.
+ Assist to ensure that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software.
+ Assist loading software, configuring trends, alarms, and reports.
+ Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
+ Communicate and document the status and details of the project to the internal team.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Currently Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Building Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science
+ 3.0 GPA or higher.
+ Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US without sponsorship
+ Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
+ Possess and maintain valid and current Driver's License and be insurable by our company's insurance carrier
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Team player with a positive attitude.
+ Competency with Microsoft software including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ Competent verbal and written communicator.
+ Aptitude for translating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Able to balance multiple concurrent priorities.
+ Aptitude for problem solving.
+ Time management skills including the ability to estimate time required to complete tasks and deliver on the committed timeline.
+ Ability to report to assigned work location reliably.
