Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
We need the person to be able to handle employees and customers alike. Someone who can anticipate the needs of the course.
Requirements:
Individual must have 2 or more years of experience as a First or Second Assistant. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Current state certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator.
Individual must be able to manage and train the maintenance staff. Responsibilities include implementation of all fertilizer and pesticide programs, maintaining a safe work environment, assist in overseeing improvements to the golf course, directs and delegates activities to the grounds staff, and communicates with management on any and all issues on the golf course.
Individual must have knowledge of golf course irrigation systems.
Individual works with management to purchase and setup delivery of pesticides and golf course supplies.
Must oversee maintenance of clubhouse grounds.
Ability to recruit and interview seasonal help.
Must have desire to attend educational seminars to remain progressive within the industry.
Pennsylvania: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
Driver’s license (preferred).
Compensation:
$24.00 – $35.00 per hour.
