Ewing Bros. Inc. is the oldest and largest family-owned Heavy Truck Repair Shop, Body Shop, and Towing Company in Las Vegas. We are currently searching for reliable, technical, good-natured, DIVERSE, Heavy Truck Technicians and Mechanic/Frame Technicians, individuals who can do it all to join our Ewing Bros. Summary:

The Truck Shop Collision Technician is responsible for daily truck and trailer repairs of Ewing Bros Inc. heavy-duty tow trucks and outside customer repairs for heavy-duty diesel tow trucks. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review each repair order, work order, and estimator’s notes to understand what repairs are needed before beginning work on the vehicle.
  • All repairs must be completed according to the documentation on the repair order or supplement, when available.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturers and technical repair process.
  • Ability to use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
  • Ability to weld using the MIG welding technique preferred.
  • Ability to repair fiberglass parts and pieces.
  • Able to use composite panel bonding techniques.
  • Perform initial tear-downs of vehicle.
  • Identify parts for cut-ins and edging.
  • Perform all repair procedures according to factory specifications and company policy. I-Car standard.
  • Perform and sign off on all quality checks before sending the vehicle to the paint department.
  • Re-assemble the painted vehicle and painted parts.
  • Perform a final quality check and review of the work order before sending the vehicle to the detail department.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Office software and industry parts and estimating software and/or the ability to learn new software. 


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • ASE certification is preferred but not required.
  • ICAR welding certification is preferred by not required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 4 years’ body/mechanical experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • A clean driving record and 23+ years of age for insurability purposes only.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from manager(s)/Supervisors, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred but not required.


Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
