As an IT Security Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the organization's security infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the protection of digital assets, the identification of vulnerabilities, and the implementation of best practices to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, experience with security technologies, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption technologies, and endpoint protection
Managed and lead projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential security risks
Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives. Monitor security alerts/logs and identify anomalous behavior or potential security incidents
Maintain an understanding of industry best practices, emerging threats, and security technologies to ensure the organization stays current with security trends
Continuously improves internal security controls to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, modification, and destruction.
Participate in security incident response plan, support detection and classification, define containment, remediation and recovery strategies with the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in IT security engineering with a focus on implementing and managing security solutions in enterprise environments
At least one industry standard certification such as Security+, GSEC, GCIH, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other security vendor certification.
Knowledge of networking principles, cryptography, and secure architecture design
Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint security solutions
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and innovative work environment focused on driving excellence in IT security
