Job Description

Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of plush toys and other products for the Zoo, Aquarium and Museum segment as well as the Gift and Souvenir segment has an immediate opening for a Marketing and Events Manager . The Marketing & Events Manager is responsible for supporting and driving sales and bringing brand awareness nationally. The position arranges for trade shows, printed marketing materials, industry publications, digital marketing, lead generation activities, and "lead management" for all sales teams in the US. The role operates in the crosshair between sales and the product teams and must posses a detailed understanding of customer needs and the product portfolio. The role also supports the various sales systems, databases and reporting tools deployed to ensure sales staff, customers and sales managers have all tools needed to increase business. This position reports directly to the National Sales Director - US.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manages event schedules, projects and timelines to secure strong and professional visibility at shows and events.
  • Manage all logistics around events including budget, schedule, samples and necessary collateral.
  • Manage and update Annual Marketing Budget and Annual Schedule
  • Publish press releases, and arrange for advertisements as necessary in industry publications
  • Execute on digital marketing plan, including driving excellence in marketing pieces
  • Is an active partner in securing successful e-commerce platform launch and growth for all products.
  • Build and Monitor KPI for marketing, event and promotion results
  • Own, maintain, and drives lead database.
  • Manage marketing event and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports related to marketing, campaigns and customer category focus.
  • Be active partner to ensure best in class web-site.
  • Obtain feedback from customers, sales reps and sales departments as necessary for executing best marketing deliverables.
  • Be an agent for open communication and culture.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • 2+ years in a Marketing role supporting a Sales team
  • Hands on experience with Office Suite, Adobe Suite and CRM software a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • 2+ years Event management experience
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams
  • Attention to detail, numerical abilities, and problem-solving attitude
  • Highly organized and self-driven
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Experience in the Retail or Wholesale industry preferred

Education and Industry Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent
  • MS Office skills 
  • Adobe Suite skills
  • Project management skills 

Physical Requirements (Include Travel):  

  • Ability to work onsite in the Atlanta office 5 days a week
  • 20% domestic travel to meetings and trade shows
