• The Dispatchers are communications personnel responsible for receiving and transmitting pure and reliable messages to drivers and Management while tracking vehicles and assigning trips.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure appropriate transportation coverage based on client’s physical limitations of the older adult population and handicap person.
• Communicates in a professional manner with drivers, clients and coworkers.
• Assigns will call trips to drivers to ensure timely transportation service to return clients home.
• Determines if an extra trip can be taken and tells the call center the pickup time.
• Maintain open communication with drivers through the software/phone. 
• Conducts self in accordance with HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
• Ensures drivers are educated on Individual Service Plans (for DODD consumers) and Client Care Needs.
• Respond to emergency situations to ensure transportation coverage.
• Performs all other duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have the ability to work effectively and professionally with a diverse group of
• persons.
• Ability to speak English (with Russian is a plus) clearly and precisely.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Knowledge of Instant Messaging and equipment needed for communication.
• Skill in reading and interpreting maps to determine locations.
• Ability to give step by step directions to driver if GPS not working properly.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to understand the physical limitations of the older adult population and people with disabilities.
• Problem solving abilities.
