Wheelchair Transport Driver - Job Description

This is for a full time position, 10:00-7:00pm Tuesday-Saturday

The purpose of the Wheelchair Transport Driver is to help provide the best ride and service to our customers in order for them to lead a fulfilling life. Seeking drivers specifically for Pinellas county. Full time hours are guaranteed. Overtime available but not guaranteed. Various shifts available. For example, 2-4 days a week, 10-12 hour shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Transport clients to and from medical appointments/facilities/hospital via wheelchair or stretcher
• Frequent push people and equipment of 100+ pounds
• Safely operate company vans

Job Qualifications:

• Must be a safe driver, with a clean driving record
• Must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English language
• One (1) year full-time customer service-oriented experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Commercial driving experience preferred but not required
• Drivers license for a minimum of 5 years
• Must be a friendly, courteous, and compassionate team player with positive attitude, even in high pressure situations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to safely lift clients weighing more than 250 pounds with assistance
• Desire and ability to adhere to Wheelchair Transport Service high standard of customer service
• Ability to pass level 2 background check through AHCA

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or obtain prior to hire)
• All required certifications must remain current and active.
• Valid Florida driver license with a driving record acceptable to company policy and insurance program requirements.
• DOT physical

Pay:

• $13.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience, not including per trip incentives
