Direct Counsel has partnered with a leading immigration firm who is seeking a Paralegal with a solid background in business immigration law to join our dedicated team. This position is ideal for candidates looking to work remotely and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic practice focusing on various immigration matters for corporate clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of business immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, PERM, and other employment-based visas.
• Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Prepare and organize documentation, including forms, support letters, and evidence for submission to government agencies.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and keep them informed about the status of their cases.
• Review and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with immigration regulations.
• Support case management by maintaining organized electronic files and tracking deadlines.
• Collaborate with the legal team on complex cases and participate in strategy sessions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a specific focus on business immigration law.
• Proficient in immigration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• An understanding of immigration processes and procedures, particularly for corporate clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
