About the Role:
As a Specialist Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys throughout the entire litigation lifecycle. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in eDiscovery, trial preparation, and legal research to make a significant impact on our cases.
What You'll Do:
Efficiently and cost-effectively manage legal documents, databases, and files.
Prepare and interpret complex legal documents related to litigation matters.
Process and manage confidential client information using eDiscovery tools and platforms, including source code review, document review, and production.
Conduct electronic document reviews and coordinate productions.
Assist attorneys with deposition preparation.
Perform factual research using internal and external databases and libraries.
Coordinate trial preparation, attend trials, and provide support to attorneys at court and agency hearings.
Partner and coordinate with internal resources and outside vendors.
Direct work and train team members.
Collaborate with other departments to develop efficient procedures and communications.
Work overtime as required and travel as needed.
Handle additional related projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
Advanced proficiency in MS Outlook, web-based conferencing/sharing applications, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and transcript management applications (e.g., LiveNote).
Advanced proficiency in online research resources (e.g., LexisNexis/Westlaw), PACER, CM/ECF, and other electronic court/agency databases.
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and terminology.
Strong knowledge of eDiscovery platforms and processes.
Strong knowledge of relevant jurisdictional/court/agency processes and procedures.
Advanced proficiency with timekeeping and expense reporting applications.
Strong knowledge of legal billing processes.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
At least 10 years of Litigation Paralegal experience (required).
Arbitration/trial experience (required).
Appellate practice experience (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary: $112,000 - $163,000 per year.
