Job Description

Our Acute Cancer Care Center provides emergency services to our critically ill patients, utilizing 42 beds, including 2 Resuscitation Rooms. We are a specialized unit that is dedicated to our Cancer patients, pediatrics through adults.

The Patient Care Technician provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.

Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of recent experience working as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting.

Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience: one year of patient care experience.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
