Job Description

The Product Owner will be working closely with the Development teams, Internal Departments and Business Function to identify and design solution offerings for the product backlog.

As our Product Owner, you will be responsible for:

  • Liaise with multiple departments for Product Discussions

  • Solution designing

  • Product backlog planning

  • Recommend Process Improvements

  • Achieve KPIs for Requirements Quality

Prior experience in a similar capacity with a high-risk payment gateway is a critical requirement .

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritise business requirements for solutioning.

  • Translate complex customer and regulatory needs into structured business and functional requirements.

  • Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders for Requirements Elicitation for Solutioning.

  • Help our customers identify their specific needs and structure the resulting requirements.

  • Incorporate industry, business-specific, and high-risk payment gateway requirements into the concepts and prepare business requirements for technical implementation.

  • Ensure a seamless onboarding process for merchants into the system and address any issues arising in merchant services.

  • Actively utilise and enhance internal tools and applications used.

  • Understand the vision of the Product and the Roadmap, converting the Roadmap into the Team’s backlog with Epics, Features, and User Stories.

  • Identify problem areas for process improvements and technical debts.

  • Maintain the JIRA board to align with Scrum Teams and Sprint cycles.

  • Participate in Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Refinement, and Retrospection.

  • Actively engage with Development Teams for day-to-day activities.

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure alignment with requirements.

  • Prepare process flows and process description documents.

  • Perform industry research to stay updated with the latest trends, particularly in the high-risk payments industry.

Requirements

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or related fields (Master’s degree is preferred). CSM, CSPO, or SAFe certifications would be beneficial.
  • Mandatory: Have prior experience working with a high-risk payment gateway in a similar capacity.
  • Have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience, including significant experience working with High-Risk Payment Gateways and organisations in Payments, BFSI, Travel Tech, E-commerce Tech, or Remittances.
  • Are self-structured, highly motivated, and driven to come up with solutions.
  • Can work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Have the curiosity and passion to take on tough challenges.
  • Are able to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements.
  • Have a solid understanding of Business Strategy, User Experience Design, and Technology.
  • Have significant experience in Scrum and other Agile methodologies.
  • Are experienced in Jira, Confluence, Figma, and enterprise platforms (advantageous)
