Radiation Therapist - Beverly Hills, CA

Compensation: $48 - $75 per hour 

About the Job

Our Client is a Cancer Center searching for a reliable, dedicated, and experienced Radiation Therapist to join their growing team in Beverly Hills, CA. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for providing radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This role works under the general supervision of the Lead Radiation Therapist and Medical Director of Radiation Oncology and Imaging.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients; answers patient questions, and explains procedures under the supervision of the physician.
• Verifies the procedure ordered or prescribed and confirms patient identification and patient documentation in the electronic chart at the initiation of treatment, and coordinates the physics staff to ensure accurate patient care.
• Reinforces recommendations given to patients by the physician, nurse, dietician, etc., concerning reaction to treatment, care of the radiated area, and prevention or treatment of generalized and local side effects. Observe patients for any unusual reactions or events.
• Proficiency in CT simulation; fabricates solid, reproducible patient setups as ordered by the physician, paying close attention to detail, and makes adjustments in accordance with the patient’s limitations.
• Completes all required pre-treatment QA checks - Mapchecks and treatment plan verification).
• Prepares rooms and equipment for patients.
• Patient scheduling; Stays proactive, looking ahead on the schedule for completions and/or upcoming boosts.
• Reviews are charged daily for correct diagnosis and coding.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, outlook, MS Word and EMR knowledge

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Radiation Therapy School graduate
• BSRT (Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology) preferred-not required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registration
• Active California State license
• American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Able to work in Beverly Hills, CA
• Authorized to work in the US

Pay:

• $48 - $75 per hour

• Regular Shift, Weekdays
