Job Description

Monument Roofing of Colorado, a Tecta America Co., is growing, thanks in large part to its commitment to quality and word of mouth promotion. Monument Roofing is looking for Architectural Sheet Metal roofers in the Colorado Springs area.

This is a union position- Rate of pay is dependent upon union classification. 

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install various sheet metal components, including standing seam roofs, wall panels, flashing, coping, gutters, downspouts, and fascia.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape large metal sheets to fit specific project requirements.
• Securely fasten and seal metal components to ensure weather resistance and durability.
• Work with a variety of manufacturers and metals, including aluminum, steel, copper, and stainless steel.
• Inspect and repair existing sheet metal roofing, flashing, or panels.
• Set up and work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated surfaces.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including company tools.
• Communicate effectively with foremen, crew members, and other team members. 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sheet metal roofing or a related field is often preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools specific to sheet metal work (e.g., shears, brakes, drills, seamers).
• Strong understanding of local building codes and safety regulations.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions and at heights.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
