Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Second Shift Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily repair and maintenance of our packaging machinery to ensure it operates efficiently and safely. The role requires quick identification of issues, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on packaging machines to ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues with packaging equipment.
• Identify and resolve problems proactively to prevent machine downtime.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on packaging machinery.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to production.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with packaging machines is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work on-site and flexibility with shift hours.
