About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring for our client, a well-established private college in downtown Chicago.
Job Description: The Senior Prospect Researcher will support the Office of Development and Alumni Relations by conducting high-quality prospect research and assisting with grant-related research projects. This part-time temporary role requires flexibility in hours and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support student success and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain quality standards for all research projects to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Support prospecting and database research projects
- Assist with data analysis related to major gift activity
- Provide research support for grant applications and program development initiatives
- Advise development staff on prospects and current donors
- Manage projects such as annual stewardship reports for endowed scholarship donors
- Identify and pre-qualify prospects to maintain an adequate assigned prospect pool
- Support strategic planning by providing data reports and analyses
- Assist with post-event stewardship and follow-up efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in prospect research, major gift research, or related field
- Experience at multiple organizations preferred, ideally in higher education
- Strong secondary research skills, including electronic data sources and wealth assessment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to assess research requests and deliver accurate results
- Knowledge of general development processes preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff, faculty, and trustees
Additional Details: - Part-time temporary role, up to 6 months
- Flexible hours based on projects and deadlines, may range from 10-25 hours per week
- Hybrid schedule preferred; occasional on-site visits may be required
