Responsibilities

Mounting signs:

• Securely attaching signs to designated surfaces on buildings, poles, or other structures using appropriate hardware and techniques

Surface preparation:

• Cleaning, leveling, and preparing installation surfaces on walls, poles, or ground to ensure proper sign placement

Reading blueprints and schematics:

• Interpreting installation plans and diagrams to accurately position and align signs

Operating hand tools:

• Utilizing tools like drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, levels, and measuring tapes to assemble and install signs

Using power tools:

• Employing power tools like saws, grinders, and cutting torches depending on the sign material and installation requirements

Ladder work:

• Safely climbing ladders to reach high installation points and secure signs at elevated heights

Sign removal and replacement:

• Dismantling old signs and properly disposing of them while installing new ones

Basic maintenance and repairs:

• Performing minor repairs on existing signage, including tightening loose screws, replacing damaged components, and addressing minor cosmetic issues

Compliance with safety regulations:

• Adhering to all safety guidelines related to working at heights, handling power tools, and proper lifting techniques

Qualifications

• Physical fitness: Ability to lift heavy signs, work on ladders for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Hand-eye coordination: Precisely measuring and aligning signs during installation.
• Basic mechanical skills: Understanding how to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring signs are installed straight, level, and securely fastened.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions: Adapting to different weather elements depending on the project location
