Software Engineering Intern job at Rescript Washington DC, US

Job Description

The Role Work directly with the founders to ship features for newly signed Fortune 50 and unicorn customers. You’ll iterate quickly on user feedback, scale infrastructure, and push the limits of LLM-powered workflows. Expect to learn a ton about AI, U.S. policy, and startup execution. This internship has the potential to convert into a full-time engineering role with the team Requirements

Solid computer science fundamentals
Experienced in Python and HTML/CSS (JS is a plus)
You’ve built a functional web app before, end-to-end
U.S. work authorization — remote or Washington DC-based
Full-time (40+ hours/week) over the summer; potential to convert to full-time role post-internship

Examples of Potential Projects

Build a classifier to alert companies when relevant new laws are proposed.
Build/refine business-ready features like content exporting, collaboration, auditing, etc.
Integrate new data sources into our core LLM engine
Evaluate LLMs and prompt engineer them for various tasks

You act like an owner in everything you do and have a high bar for quality.
You pick things up quickly and move fast.
You're naturally curious.

Tech Stack We build our frontend on HTML, JS, and Bootstrap, and our backend is Python (Flask), with PostgreSQL and MongoDB. We use data orchestration pipelines and build on Azure. We evaluate + deploy every major LLM in our product (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).
