Position Overview:

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our remote team. As a key member of our accounting department, you'll play an important role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall growth of our client businesses. This role is fully remote, offering flexibility to work from home. However, candidates should be available to attend an annual meeting in person in New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
Record and manage journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
Process and oversee invoicing and accounts receivable.
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Support the team with budgeting and forecasting to ensure financial targets are met.
Prepare financial reports to provide insights into business performance.
Required Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, we're looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger activities, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (3+ years of experience required).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (3+ years of experience required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, a client-focused mindset, and a track record of reliability and dedication.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with budgeting and forecasting.
Experience working in a remote environment and managing responsibilities independently.
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $55,000 to $63,000 annually, based on experience.
