Hummingbird Marketing Services is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) and fully remote Web & Graphic Design Intern to join our team. If you are curious about marketing through web and graphic design, and are motivated within a creative, fast-paced, and variable working environment, this role could be your perfect fit! Gain invaluable agency experience working on client and internal projects that span all design scopes. Those actively pursuing a design-related degree and/or a career in marketing are encouraged to apply! Our agency is fully remote, based in Seattle and has satellite offices in Boston and Washington, DC. In this role, you’ll:

• Assist our fully remote marketing agency team with various design and digital marketing initiatives for 20 hours per week (up to 30 hours if desired).
• This internship provides educational experience as compensation.
• Tentatively, this internship runs from May/June to August/September.

Use Industry-Specific Platforms Daily, including:

• WordPress
• Asana
• MailChimp
• Canva
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Figma
• Google Suite and Office 365

Responsibilities:

• WordPress Website Design (building new client sites from the ground up and updating content on live sites)
• Website Management (running backups/software updates, troubleshooting errors, etc.)
• Graphic Design (Working through all steps of the design process to create digital designs for clients, such as logo design, brand guidelines, website design, social media graphics, and more)
• Client management and communication best practices
• Project management, organization, and internal collaboration best practices
• Researching/implementing internal account management and new client nurture strategies

Qualifications: An ideal candidate for this role is:

• Pursuing a career and/or degree in Marketing or Design (with an interest in website development, graphic design, or social media)
• Has a basic understanding of design principles and the design process and is eager to learn more in a professional setting
• Detail-obsessed! You go the extra mile in your execution and achieve stellar results
• Interested and/or experienced in WordPress or other website development platforms
• Ready to learn and adaptable to taking on new tasks with instruction (No day at our agency looks the same!)
• Organized, ambitious, and ready to let your curiosity soar!
